Ignore all of the paywalled, overly complicated generators out there. QR codes should be easy and free, the standard is open source after all.

Error Correction Level

Lower levels allow for smaller QR codes but they are more difficult to scan in poor conditions.

Try using a URL shortener if the generated code is overly complex.

Higher levels makes QR codes easier to scan in poor conditions. Medium is recommended.

High is recommended for non-ideal applications including outdoors, or when embedding a logo.
